The Masjid-al-Sultan Muhammad Thakurufaanu - Al Auzam - also known as the Islamic Centre of the Maldives - is one of the most prominent architectural landmarks in the country's capital city, Malé. It was established in 1984 and is presently the largest mosque in the Maldives, as well as one of the largest mosques in South Asia.
Ari Atoll - one of the natural atolls of the Maldives. It is one of the biggest atolls and is located in the west of the archipelago. The almost rectangular alignment spreads the islands over an area of about 89 by 3 kilometers.
